Sailability Western Australia

Sailability WA operating from Royal Perth Yacht Club, is part of a sailing programme which offers people with disabilities the opportunity to sail regardless of their level of ability, skill, or personal circumstances. The programme offers three linked levels of activity, so you can choose to sail recreationally or race!

We introduce people to sailing using the Access dinghies; as a client assisted by an experienced skipper and volunteer staff, or as a Sailability WA member where we help you to sail yourself.

Activity times:

Wednesday:

9.30am – 12.00pm. Supported sailing in dinghies and keelboats October - May each year.

Thursday:

9.30am – 12.00pm. Sailing for high support needs clients October - May each year.

Sunday:

9.30am – 12.00pm Sailability WA members day throughout the year.

As a Sailability WA member, you can finely tune your skills learned at the supported level by crewing in regular racing events at Royal Perth Yacht Club. Our paralympic team also sails from Royal Perth Yacht Club, and is an inspiration to all our sailors with disabilities.

To get involved, or to find out more information please contact Shay.
