FRIDAY TWILIGHT SUMMER SERIES: Ransa Summer Friday Twilight Racing Series September to May, be at boats 5pm SATURDAY SUMMER SERIES SASC (Sydney Amateurs Sailing Club) summer series is a spinnaker series sailed in the three Sonars. Be at the hard-stand 10:30am September to May SATURDAY WINTER SERIES: Ransa Winter Saturday Series Dates: May to August, be at boats 11am WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON SERIES: Ransa & Royal Prince Edward Yacht Clubs conduct a Wednesday afternoon series throughout the year be at boats 11:30am, booking essential for these series
The club asks for a donation for sailing of: $15 for members, $20 for non-members Racing crew spots must be booked every week for this popular racing series. Sailability Rushcutters Bay has two yachts racing in Division 3. Racing crew need to be at the marina by 5pm for a 6pm racing start. The race lasts approximately an hour and a half, followed by drinks and the announcement of race winners at the RANSA bar.
Sailing Development Program (SDP) The SDP is for sailors with disabilities who are interested in developing there skills in sailing with a vision of entering events such as, World championships, State Championships and Paralympic competition. The SDP Program is held the first three Saturday mornings of each month conducted by a NSWIS coach and other instructors or coaches to assist the sailors, Sailing is conducted in the Sonar Sydney Sonar Challenge at this stage has three Sonar yachts (three person Paralympic Yachts) they are entered in the SASC's spinnaker series in Summer and RANSA non-spinnaker in winter series catering for the more serious and more competitive sailor. * Social sailing around Sydney Harbour Dates All year round Donation requested for social sailing per Person: $20 plus The clubs Payne 7 (Salvo) class yachts are available for group bookings of up to six people per boat, excluding skipper and crew. Trips usually last aprox 1 - 2 hours or so but can be customised to the group. Great for community groups, school holiday programs, and anyone wanting to see Sydney Harbour from the water! * Try Sailing Day Dates By appointment Donation requested for sailing: $15 for members, $10 for pensioner members and $20 plus for non-members A great way to find out more about the club first hand and meet members, and for novices to try sailing in a safe and fun environment. Trips last approximately 1 - 2 hours. Also ideal for members wanting additional sailing practice.
